Happy Birthday to my AUGUST boys! Hyrum and Wyatt!!
Hyrum and Wyatt were so awesome to let me throw them a joint birthday party last weekend! August just flew by, and i planned this party on the FLY! I convinced the boys that a pirate party would be so fun (because Indiana Jones was the alternative, and i could not find anything out there that was Indiana Jones with out some Huge effort and lots of planning...but there was tons of pirate stuff, thanks to good ol' Pirates of the Caribbean)
We found the Pinata at Walmart the night before and the other Pirate Festivities at Hobby Lobby! -Who Knew-
Good ol Procrastination and Tired-nation, worked with me this year.
Here are my happy boys with there really cool Priate Pinata!
Here are the kids pre-party, filing the Pinata with all the goodies... they got a kick out of this. It is so funny, my boys now expect a pinata at every birthday, since we have had one for the last few years. Its not a Party unless we have a Pinata mom...says Hyrum...
Now this was a last minute change! We were SO excited that it actually turned out, didn't crash, or fall apart...Right?!... outside of the cook time, and the cakes to Chill time, it only took me about an hour or so to put together... Me and My dear mother had fun figuring out how to get it to work. here is our end result, and we were in bed my 3am... :o), ahh what we do for our Kiddos!
Wyatt turned 3 and Hyurm 6...hence the two candles... I was cutting corners everywhere...hopefully they will still love me when they look back on this as adults :o)...
This has been one of the best Purchases! the Little and big kids love it... and its a little something different for a party too...
now with these $10 pinatas you can not expect too much... all the little ones made it through being able to give the Pirate a good 3 hits...
But once the big kids got up there it didnt stand a chance...
But no worries, we retied the body, and made sure everyone got to take a Swing at it...the last kid, Briggs, my nephew took One swing, and Popped the Pirate right open...worked out quite well.
They had a really great time! thanks to all those who came to celebrate with us! Arrrr! Happy Birthday to my Jr. Mateys! We love you two!!

Oh, how sweet! I am SO glad to see you back on the blog again! ... I'll give you a minute to adjust to four kiddos, but I hope you'll be back soon!
That cake is AMAZING!! I sorta did a cake like that for one of Ryan's bdays, but it wasn't nearly as crazy-awesome as yours!
You have SUCH an adorable family, Aileen! I hope all is going well for you!!
