April Showers... Bring...what?

It is now April 29th, one more day in April, and if it was not for me, my little seeds would not survive, I am there April Shower. I don't think it rained even once this month. Go AZ.
But here is my attempt at growing flowers. I had some seed from last season that i never got to plant. Then when we moved to this house, there really was no place to plant anything. So we made a place to plant flowers... This is two flower beds that Jaron dug up the grass a dirt for me and we laid bricks and plastic down. They look really nice.... i was surprised. (knowing my efforts, in my head this project was going to take 2 hours or so, but it ended up taking 2 days. but that is because Jaron is awesome, and says... if you want it done right, then just do it right the first time, so we don't have to do it again :). ) thank you hunny. They really look awesome.

LOOK! This is what i have right now... well alot more than this now, this was about a week after i planted. and i have tons more than this even now.... I must have a green thumb. Or...my husband does know what he is doing, and did it right the first time :)

Hyrum was a big helper it shoveling dirt. A bath was defiantly needed afterwards. This is what usually happens during bath time. I just think his little imagination is so fun.

It was a project completing filled day!!!

Easter...Weekend

Since Easter weekend fell on the weekend of Spring Break, my family had a lot going on, so we were not able to get together. So we did it the following weekend. It actually turned out Great. All the Easter candy and eggs were all on sale, and the kids loved being able to find Eggs twice. Here is Hyrum with some of his cousins after there successful Easter egg hunt.

We also celebrated the March birthdays, had cupcakes, and the kids ate them outside, and to help with the laundry, shirts were taken off. But how cute is this picture. (minus my son being a stink to the camera).

Then we the adults went inside, and the kids were finishing up and playing, and when we checked on them, they had all wandered over to the grass and were digging in the dirt, just talking and laughing together. These kids really like to spend time together. Its really awesome to see.

Spring Break Camping

This was one crazy weekend to choose to go camping. We had been planning on this for a long time, and our last 2 camping tries were thwarted. So we decided we were going no matter what. So the day before we left this is what I was dealing with....

My sweet boy was throwing up all day, come to find out he had an Earache. So I started his prescription and he was fine, but Jaron and I the morning we were leaving got all achy and flu like, but decided to bear down, and just go, it was just two nights......

It ended up fine. Jaron was pretty sick, but still when on a hike with his dad and brothers and sisters, to Horton Springs, a 8ish mile hike all up hill, then all down hill. I was going to go, but i wasn't feeling to hot myself. Jaron told me that it would have really been hard for me. I took his word for it, and was super super glad i choose not to go.
We were also lucky that we decided to grab the generator, because we slept with the heater on all night, because it was so cold. If we just had our sleeping bags and blankets... i know we would have been miserable. The pop-up camper and that generator were our saving grace.
the Mornings were pretty cold and super windy, and we just had a sweatshirt for Hyrum, so this over sized hand-me down coat kept him warm. I was just glad that I brought it for him. The coat makes him look so little :).

Even when you are trying to keep your son from looking like a savage... they still get a messy as possible. I guess that is what camping is all about :) .

Since it was so cold, we kept a fire burning pretty much all day, so that meant, while all the guys were at the hike, Jaron's Grandma Speakman, Picked up the axe and started chopping away. She is such a Pioneer. A awesome lady. I loved spending time with her there.

I loved this picture of her accomplishment. She was down from Utah visiting with Jarons Family for a few months. She's gone back to Utah now, But we sure to miss having her around! She is just wonderful.

This is Jaron's Brother Johnathan, actually cutting down a tree! I think lightning killed it, so he was finishing the job. It was wonderful dried out wood, but i thought he looked like a mountain man, so i snapped a shot.

On our way home, we stopped by the fish Hatchery there above Payson. Hyrum always loves this part. Last years Fathers and sons they stopped by, so he remembered about all the fish.

This is us. We survived. This is Proof.
I really do love to go camping. I would just recommend not going when your all sick.

Here is the Scoop!

Well first off... our most exciting and happy news is that we are having a boy! and we could not be more excited. I have reached the half way mark... can you believe that I am already 5 months... and i am feeling great.

Second is that Hyrum is doing really, really good at potty training. And tells me he is a big boy multiple times a day... even sings the little song.. "I'm a big boy now", his uncle Joseph taught him. Its really fun. We are still having a few accidents but no poop accidents, thank you very much. Way to go Hyrum.

Here is a before and after picture of the outside of our home :)

Oh Ya, did i tell you that we moved again!!! Its a super long story that a few of you may know... but we are Happy here! And truly Truly feel like everything was supposed to happen to get us to this place. So now we are working on getting settled. And a huge HUGE shout out to those wonderful family and friends who have helped us in our crazy endeavors of moving! You don't know how helpful you all have been. We love you!!!

This is what we did on Jaron's 27th Birthday... We moved.. and then went to dinner, but i just wanted to say Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!! Thank you for loving me!

And this is what we did on my 27th Birthday... we went to dinner and there was a carnival in the mall parking lot.... it was pretty fun. We hit the Ferris wheel first... they actually were driving the ride really fast and i was quite scared... so that is why there is not picture of the family on the Ferris wheel, i wasn't about to move while the ride was going. Then there was this awesome play land place for Hyrum, and he did the ride/fun house about 6 times... there is a way to drop $30 bucks right :) But he has never been so excited about a play place before, so maybe he will enjoy McDonald's and Peter Piper a bit more now that he knows what its all about. Jaron Rode this crazy Spinning upside down and all around ride... that we watched. And the last is us walking back to the car... is this just the saddest face ever. Its like his life is over. But we all had fun.

This is our next change.... Our 2004 GMC Envoy! we love it and already took it camping the next weekend we got it. And it did great! We said good bye to our Suzuki (which i never did fall in love with) and our Toyota Cressida, which we have had for 5 years... we were sad to say goodbye, that little car has been everywhere with us!!! Even an accident but pulled thought, then came with us to the East coast and back again. It was a fun car to have. We are excited about our GMC though. It really seems to fit us just right.

Good bye Suzuki....

and Good bye ol' faithful....
I guess in conclusion... here in the speakman home, we feel it hasn't been a good month until you sell three cars, get one in return, move into another home, have 2 birthdays, and celebrate 6 others (family's), and find out you are having another little boy!!! Go camping and all three of us get sick, Celebrate Easter....... and Life just couldn't be sweeter for us. We really are blessed and happy to be alive and well.
